When Maggpie Vintage Rentals asked if I wanted to participate in their #14daysofsweethearts competition, I knew without hesitation I was all in. A chance to pick a sweetheart table built by Jason and pair it with their inventory? Hang at the warehouse with Maggie and Tracy while setting it up? Yes, please.
(Bonus: they had also recently added the Grayson loveseat to their inventory. Grayson is upholstered in velvet in my favorite color, and tufted for days. Swooning and heart-eye emojis all around.)
I knew I wanted to use the Chesterfield sweetheart table and Grayson loveseat. I found some incredible sequined fabric, and built from there. The sequins vary in tone and are semi-matte. I had some fabric that was close to the color of Grayson's fabric that helped me pull my favorite darker tones together.
When I found the sequins, I knew it would be a romantic candlelight kind of table. A little over the top, but still simple. (Simple glam - is that a thing that can apply to tablescapes? It should be.)
I also wanted take a break from creating and focus on having fun with styling. I created a pair of cocktail flags and wrote a few phrases on them, and collected some great pieces to put on the table. Taking a break from 'making' was really great, and let Maggpie's pieces be more focal.
This is a friendly competition, so hop over to Maggpie's Instagram to vote for my table on February 15. Photos with a little heart in the bottom corner are the 'voting' photos. 'Like' and leave a comment to vote.
My #14daysofsweethearts table can also be seen on Maggpie's blog and Green Wedding Shoes.
